In connection with the European Super League (ESL) controversy, the Italian and Spanish league teams have also announced their withdrawal following the English professional football Premier League club.

AFP news agency announced on the 21st (local time) that three clubs, Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan, representing Italian professional football Serie A, announced that they would give up their participation in ESL, followed by Atletico Madrid of Spain’s Primera Liga. Reported.

It’s been a day since all six clubs in the English Premier League, including Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, have announced that they will give up their ESL participation.

Initially, ESL was scheduled to be launched with a total of 12 teams including Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan.

However, internally and externally, it faced intense opposition.

If the Super League is held on a weekday, virtually all teams will be unable to participate in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. Because of this, there was a great concern that national leagues could suffer serious financial damage.

There was also strong opposition from soccer fans, and 10 teams declared their withdrawal before the tournament even started. In fact, ESL couldn’t even start and was in danger of being stranded.
