Reuters reported on the 19th (local time) that a wide range of investigations are being conducted regarding the occurrence of a collective allergic reaction after receiving the Corona 19 (new coronavirus infection) vaccine developed by the global pharmaceutical company Modena in California.

Modena said, “The investigation is still ongoing and is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to determine clinical cases and whether widespread discontinuation of this production line vaccine is necessary.”

According to the CDC and the FDA, there have been no reported cases of the vaccine causing problems in California and causing side effects elsewhere.

Previously, in California, residents who had received a certain serial number of modder or vaccine had allergic reactions, so vaccination with this serial number was stopped. The serial number of the modder or vaccine in question was ‘041L20A’, and it arrived in California between the last 5 and 12 days.

Erica Pan, deputy director of the California Center for Infectious Diseases, said, “A higher possibility of allergic reactions to modders or vaccines of a specific serial number have been reported.” It is recommended to stop administering the moder or lot (manufacturing number) 041L20A until it becomes possible.”

According to local media, six people were vaccinated at the Petco Park vaccination center in San Diego County on the 14th and had an allergic reaction. Since then, the center has been temporarily closed and reopened, and is currently undergoing other vaccinations.

Dr. Eric McDonald, director of epidemiology in San Diego County, said, “Six medical staff vaccinated at Petco Park (Major League San Diego Padris home ground) allergic reactions, reducing the size of the center’s operations.” It’s rather high.

Six medical staff who showed an allergic reaction after vaccination told the local media, “I had pain under the ear and my heartbeat accelerated within 10 minutes after vaccination.”

As the Korean government also signed a vaccine purchase contract with Modena, if the side effects persist, concerns in Korea are expected to rise. Moderna announced on the 31st of last month, “We have signed a purchase contract with the Korean government for 40 million corona 19 vaccines (for 20 million people).”

On the same day, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) also said through a briefing, “We have officially secured 20 million units of moder vaccines.”
