“Your mother is a man.” The story of Jinxing, Kookmin MC in China

“Children often hear this from their friends, but they rather refute it. “So? What does that have to do with you?” Whenever I hear a story like this, I feel protected from children.”

It is a story of a dancer and MC Jin-Sing (金星) who has a cool cider remark, straightforward and honest speech, and a lot of fans with dignity.

The mother was born as a man, but she said she would go into the grave.

She is China’s first sex change operator. She confesses that when she was 6-7 she started to think she should have been born a woman. Like my real sister, I only wanted to be a woman, but there was no way to know how.

After becoming a dancer, this inner voice began to grow stronger. It was a change that occurred when I was working to express my thoughts and feelings in dance.

In 1995, eventually, she was determined to undergo sex change surgery. It was when she was 28 years old. It was difficult to imagine in the social atmosphere at the time. It was a time when even bringing homosexuality out of the mouth was implicitly taboo, and there was no information about sex change surgery. Even the word’transgender’ was unfamiliar.

“It was like a gambling heart,” she confessed to her feelings at the time. With 50% to the doctor and 50% to the sky, she climbed onto the operating table. And safely, I was able to successfully reborn as a complete woman. It was the first officially known case of gender change in China.

But after the surgery was over, the thing she feared most was the gaze of society. Rather, it was people’s prejudice that scared more than the fear of the operation itself. It was another problem she had to face.

However, Jinxing considered it a challenge that he had to face and overcome. She said, “More than anything else, it was what she truly wanted to have the sex of my body and soul as one, so I was encouraged to do so.”

As a dancer and broadcasting MC, she was able to gain greater courage as she pioneered her life more sincerely and passionately than anyone else. He became increasingly confident in his choices. Her honest and straightforward speech, and her face-to-face confrontation with various guts, made more publics like her more.

When her German husband first saw her, she knew only as a female dancer. Meeting continued, and when Jin Xing confessed that he was actually a man, he couldn’t hide his embarrassment. But the next day, I visited Jinxing again and continued meeting, saying, “I still want to be with you.”

Although he couldn’t have a child on his own, Jin Xing adopted three children. From childhood, she has educated them in her own way, honest and confident.

“Mom was a man at birth, but on the day she enters the grave, she will be a woman.” Under her educational philosophy that anyone can do whatever they want, children also grew up with a sense of dignified and upright values. They say that they are not shunned by the jokes mixed with ridicule of their friends, but rather resemble their mothers, and Chinese netizens are praising them.
