Ahead of the 4/7 Seoul Mayor’s by-election, the opposition party’s negotiations for unification of candidates are continuing to “confront the edge of the cliff,” and a public opinion poll announced on the 14th that all three candidates will engage in fierce battles within the margin of error, even if the multilateral confrontation flows done.
On the 13th, NeXT Interactive Research asked 1008 Seoul citizens over the age of 18 on the suitability of the Mayor of Seoul on the 13th at the request of SBS. Was found to be 24%. All are within the margin of error (±3.1 points with 95% confidence level). This means that even if the election goes into a three-party confrontation, a’blind match’ can unfold.
If the opposition is unified and goes into a bilateral composition, no matter who the single candidate is, candidate Park will be ahead of the margin of error.
If Oh came out as a single candidate for the opposition, the approval rating was 42.3%, which was 7.3 percentage points higher than Park (35%). In the case of candidate Ahn, it was 45.4%, 11.8 percentage points ahead of Park (33.6%).
In other investigations, the 野 single candidate ahead of the 朴
In an opinion poll conducted by Canta Korea on 806 people aged 18 and over living in Seoul on the 13th at the request of the Chosun Ilbo and TV Chosun, the opposition single candidate showed an edge with a gap of 10 percentage points. All are differences that are outside the margin of error (±3.5 points at 95% confidence level).
If Oh came out as a single candidate for the opposition, the approval rating was 46.5%, 12.3% ahead of Park (34.2%), and Ahn, 45.2%, outperforming Park (33.8%) by 11.4%.
However, in this survey, only two candidates Park (28.8%) and Candidate Oh (27.2%) are engaged in a close match within the margin of error in the case of a three-party confrontation where the opposition is not unified. Candidate Ahn was followed by 19.9%.
野 Single candidate? Oh no, up and down
Meanwhile, in an investigation asking for a single candidate for the mayor of Seoul in the pan-optics, candidates Oh and Ahn competed within the margin of error.
In the Next Search survey, candidate Ahn was dominant in both candidate suitability (Oh 32.3%, Anh 36.1%) and competitiveness (Oh 33.5%, Ann 38.2%). On the other hand, in the Canta Korea survey, Candidate Oh showed superiority in suitability (36.8% Oh, 31.3% An) and competitiveness (34.5% Oh, 30.5% An).
