Kangwon FC CEO Young-pyo Lee held a press conference on the 30th in the briefing room of Gangwon-do Provincial Office before taking office on January 1, 2021.
CEO Lee Young-pyo said, “Based on 35 years of soccer experience, I will do my best honestly,” and “I want to show the way the people of Gangwon Province are developing as they expect.”
Also, “I am happy to be with you as a soccer administrator in my hometown of Gangwon-do. Based on my small but unique experience, Kangwon FC, which has just grown from the image of a medicine team to a mid-tier team, will try to grow into a prestigious team representing Korea.”
In particular, CEO Lee Young-pyo wants to make Gangwon FC’s football a life beyond culture to someone about the direction that Gangwon FC should go forward.

The reason we defined football as being good at soccer is because of the smiles of our fans.
Sports should balance honesty and best, and humility and dignity. I want to have an administration that can be opened to anyone. Especially for the future, I don’t want to miss the present or make the mistake of obsessing with the present and not seeing the future.
I want to create an environment in which all the children who will bear the future of Gangwon-do learn and enjoy soccer between the ages of 5 and 10, and learn a healthy mind through rules and order, victory and defeat.
One of the representative directors is well aware that Kangwon can never be developed. Today’s Gangwon FC was made possible by the efforts of players and fans as well as dedicated front staff. We will take a look at yesterday and today with the club staff and decide what to do tomorrow.
CEO Lee Young-pyo visits the Gangneung Club House on the 4th of next month and begins a full-fledged business, starting with a meeting with the athletes. Due to Corona 19, it was decided not to hold the inauguration and opening ceremony.
