Yoon Seok-yeol’s voter approval rating of 37.2%… Lee Jae-myeong and 13%P gap

The results of a public opinion poll came out on the 15th that the former prosecutor general Yoon Seok-yeol recorded an approval rate approaching 40% in the approval rate of the next presidential leader. Gyeonggi Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myeong and Democratic Party Standing Seondae Chairman Lee Nak-yeon beat the gap by more than 10 percentage points.

The Korea Institute of Social Opinion (KSOI), commissioned by TBS, surveyed 1,010 people aged 18 and over nationwide on the suitability of the next president, and received 37.2% of the support.

This is a 4.8 percentage point increase from the same survey a week ago.

This was followed by 24.2% of Governor Lee and 13.3% of Chairman Lee. Governor Lee’s approval rating rose 0.1 percentage points, and Chairman Lee fell 1.6 percentage points.

The gap in approval ratings between former President Yun and Governor Lee widened from 8.3 percentage points to 13 percentage points. The gap between Governor Lee and Chairman Lee is 10.9 percentage points.

Former President Yoon received high support from the conservative and middle class, Daegu and Gyeongbuk, Daejeon, Sejong and Chungcheong, Seoul, in their 60s and above, and in their 50s. On the other hand, Governor Lee received the highest support from the progressives and 40s, and former CEO Lee from Gwangju and Jeolla.

In addition, independent legislator Hong Joon-pyo 5.7%, former Justice Minister Chu Miae 2.7%, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun 2.4%, and former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min 2.2%.

The sampling error of this poll is ±3.1% points with a 95% confidence level.
