Singer Yoo Seung-joon (US Steve Seung-joon Yoo), who was restricted from entering Korea due to military service avoidance, emphasized the resentment again through a YouTube video, saying that the reports of his military enlistment in the past were intended.

On the 29th, Yoo told his YouTube channel,’Now I can speak. The devil’s compilation. It was argued in this way through a 29 minute and 10 second video titled’All questions surrounding the first military enlistment and citizenship acquisition.’

After leaving the country in 2002, Mr. Yoo gave up his Korean citizenship and obtained US citizenship. Afterwards, at the request of the Military Manpower Administration, a decision was made to ban entry, and the government has refused to issue a visa to Mr. Yoo.

He first explained how the reports of his enlistment were carried out at the time. Yoo said, “The manager just put me down on the first floor and went home,” and a reporter said to him,’I’m over 20 years old, so I have to go to the army.’ Mr. Yoo said that he replied,’Yes, I will go when I am old’, and when the reporter mentioned the Marines, he said’I don’t care.’ Yoo claims that media reports came out based on this dialogue.

Mr. Yoo pointed to the reporter and criticized, “How can I give unclear information in this way (as an article) without receiving a request or request?”

He emphasized, “I thought that enlistment in the military (at the time) didn’t really apply to me,” he stressed, “until the reporter’s intended misinformation came out.”

Yoo reiterated his position that he had legally obtained citizenship and had nothing to do with evasion of military service, and insisted that it was a completely different case from ‘trick’ or ‘far birth’.

Yoo also mentioned a public petition to punish her YouTube channel and social media. He said, “Is it too correct to say that I am trying to stop it?” He said, “Is it because I was stabbed by revealing the tyranny of the media that had been suffered?”

At the time of the ban on entry, the part of the interview with Mr. Yoo that said, “I will be almost thirty after two and a half years of public service,” and “because I know well that my life as a dance singer is short,” was edited maliciously. It is the intent that the section that said, “You have to prepare for permanent residence again from the beginning, you have to prepare for citizenship in the permanent residence, and in fact, it is like a life separation from your family.”

Through the video introduction, Mr. Yoo asked, “Is it unskilled to ask the government for the legal basis and reason for sticking to the only entry ban in the history of Korea until the end?” Yoo’s YouTube channel currently has more than 85,000 subscribers.
