This is a collection of digital paintings titled’War Nymphs’ that Grimes, the wife and singer of Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk, auctioned off.

Ten works, including the image of a baby angel protecting Mars, were sold for 5.8 million dollars and about 6.5 billion won in our money in 20 minutes.

These works drew attention as it was speculated that they portrayed Musk’s space travel to Mars and a child born to the Musk couple.

Grimes’ digital painting is applied with’NFT’ technology, an irreplaceable token.

Like Bitcoin, NFT utilized blockchain technology, but it can give it scarcity and uniqueness.

For this reason, it is rapidly increasing its influence in the field of trading digital collectibles such as art and sports cards.

NFT virtual assets are gaining great popularity as they are recognized as an investment vehicle.

A 10-second video clip created by digital artist’Beeple’ sold for 7.4 billion won.

“It’s possible to shoot’Mona Lisa’ at the Louvre, but it’s the same logic as it’s not worth it because there’s no source, history or work there.”

Although it is a work that anyone can watch for free, it is traded for billions of won just because the original has its own digital recognition value, and there are voices of concern about this.

“The NFT market is showing a price bubble,” Reuters warned. “If the craze subsides, it could cause a huge loss.”
