The International Olympic Committee and Japan are pushing forward to hold the Tokyo Olympics in July.

The progress of the torch relay for the remainder of the month is also not going smoothly, and it seems that it will soon decide whether to enter the audience.

The Tokyo Olympics were unclear whether the event was held due to the earthquake and the spread of Corona 19.

I gained confidence by seeing the successful hosting of the corona vaccination and the Australian Open, a major tennis tournament.

However, the reality is still not easy.

Starting from the 25th, we are facing difficulties from the torch relay, which should play a role in raising the atmosphere in earnest.

Rather than enjoying the torch relay in which famous athletes and entertainers participate, citizens have become a target of attention to prevent the infection of Corona 19.

“We plan to create COVID-19 guidelines such as managing the health and behavior of the torch relay staff as well as preventing crowds.”

Celebrities who were scheduled to participate in the torch relay have repeatedly announced abandonment, and there are also regions that oppose the torch relay in the aftermath of Corona 19 such as Shimane Prefecture.

Last month, the IOC and the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee, which showed their willingness to hold the event by publishing a’Playbook’ containing the guidelines for the prevention of Corona 19, plan to decide in a video conference the allowable range of the Tokyo Olympics in the near future.

As the holding of the Tokyo Olympics is approaching reality, Korea has also entered into discussions on the vaccination of Corona 19 for Olympic athletes and leaders.
