From now on, we will announce a briefing for new public housing sites to expand housing supply in metropolitan areas.

On February 4, the government announced a public-led 3080 Plus to expand housing supply.

In order for the housing market to stabilize quickly in the future, it is necessary to quickly implement follow-up measures so that the people can trust the government’s supply measures.

As one of the follow-up measures, among new public housing sites with the level of 250,000 units nationwide announced in the last measure, the first step is Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi and 70,000 units in Siheung New Town, 18,000 units in Daejeo District, Busan, 13,000 units in Sanjeong District, Gwangju, etc. It has been decided to supply a total of 101,000 units in three districts.

As for the direction of development for the three districts, the metropolitan area has set Gwangmyeong and Siheung districts as the 6th 3rd new city in consideration of the supply of housing in the southwestern area near Seoul and the location of the existing new city.

In consideration of the situation of the local housing market, etc., we are pursuing the selection of medium-sized housing districts, focusing on the five metropolitan areas. First, the Daejeo district in Busan and the Sanjeong district in Gwangju were confirmed.

The three newly promoted public housing sites are large-scale new cities and medium-sized cities with more than 10,000 housing units, and will be made into luxury cities through international design competitions. We will make it acceptable.

We will provide enough pre-sale housing that consumers prefer, and make it possible for various classes to harmonize through public self-contained housing and integrated public rental housing.

In addition, we will create a city with convenient transportation by preemptively preparing traffic measures such as roads and railroads.

The following will explain the approximate development plan for each district.

First, Gwangmyeong and Siheung new cities.

A total of 70,000 houses will be supplied to 12.71 million m2, which is 4.3 times the area of Yeouido. As the largest of the 3rd new towns, we will create a self-sufficient city that is the base of development for the southwestern sub-axis adjacent to Seoul.

In addition, we will create a green park that is 1.3 times the size of Yeouido.

In addition, we will make it a world-class luxury city that responds to the post-corona era by building smart infrastructure for multifunctional housing and healthcare.

As a traffic countermeasure, we will construct a railroad-oriented public transportation system that connects Line 1, Line 2, Line 7, Shin-Asan Line, GTX-B and Gyeongui Line 2, etc., by constructing a north-south urban railway that runs through the new city.

In addition, we will establish a public transport circulation system such as GRT in the new city and create a convenient transport system through road transport reform.

In the future, in consultation with related organizations, we will comprehensively consider the surrounding traffic conditions and traffic plans to prepare measures for wide area traffic.

Next is the Daejeo District in Busan.

By supplying 18,000 homes in 2.43 million square meters, we plan to build a hinterland residential area in connection with the Busan Permanent Development Special Zone, and to reinforce the functions of the special zone by arranging 150,000 square meters of self-sufficient land in the R&D special zone.

In addition, we will create a convenient and comfortable living environment by creating a green area of 620,000 square meters and installing a living SOC in connection with parks for each living area.

As a transportation measure, we will build a convenient public transportation system through the Busan Gimhae Light Rail Station and the Gwangsa Line tram stop in the district.

In addition, we will promote the expansion of Daejeo-ro and Pyeonggang-ro to create a smooth road traffic system.

Next is Gwangju Sanjeong District.

We will supply 13,000 units in 1.68 million square meters, provide high-quality housing for workers such as the Big Green Industrial Complex, and build smart logistics and youth entrepreneurship platforms in connection with the Gwangju-type job project.

We will create a nature-friendly residential environment through the creation of 380,000 square meters of parks and green areas, special design for adapting to nature, and edu-parts.

As a traffic countermeasure, we will strengthen accessibility to the city center through the construction of a connecting road in the city center and expansion to Sonjae Road, and establish a bus linkage system between Songjeong Station and major transfer points such as Metro Line 1 and Line 2.

The three public housing districts announced today are designated as land transaction permission zones, and for speculative demand such as abnormal transactions, we will thoroughly investigate the demand for unusual speculation through actual transaction intervention investigations.

The first district announced today is scheduled to be pre-subscribed early in the year 23, and sales in order will begin in the year 25.

To this end, we will continue to carry out projects without disruption, such as completing the district designation by the first half of 2022.

Fellow citizens, the government’s commitment to stabilizing the housing market by supporting the opportunity for end users to find their own homes through adequate housing supply is stronger than ever.

Today, I would like to share with you the schedule of future housing supply.

First of all, we plan to actively support new urban business consulting through the 3080 Plus Integrated Support Center, which opened on February 17, and among the locations proposed by local governments and developers, we will announce some candidates who are willing to participate in the community as soon as possible in March. .

In addition, in May, we plan to hold the first integrated competition for leading business candidates for major projects such as public direct implementation and maintenance projects and urban public housing complex projects.

The first candidate site will be confirmed in July after consultation with the competent local government.

In addition to the new public housing sites announced today, the remaining 150,000 units will be released around April after consultation with the local government.

In addition, specific plans for the Housing New Deal to resolve various social issues such as balanced regional development will be announced during the first half of the year.

In the future, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will smoothly implement supply measures to stabilize the housing market.

Thank you.
