In the case of Kumho T&L, the prime minister, a worker died in a crash two years ago. In August 2018, Amugae Kim (43. South), a worker from a partner company, fell from a height of 2m while carrying out the export operation from a container belt for carrying out coal.

After the accident, the fire department, the police, and the Labor Administration together investigated the accident situation and safety rules, such as the possibility of malfunction of factory facilities, in the workplace.

Choi Kwan-sik, head of the Yeosu-si branch of the KCTU, said, “I went to the site after encountering an accident today, but the company blocked it and I could not enter the site.” A worker lost his life. Repetitive accidents like this are regarded as the outsourcing of dangerous work,” he criticized.

He continued, “We are preparing a statement. We will closely examine and respond to the details of the accident and how the person responsible for the incident is responsible for the incident.”
