Gyeongnam Jinju International Prayer Center The number of confirmed corona19 group infections in Gyeongnam increased to 57 as of 5 pm on the 12th. However, since there are confirmed cases related to the Jinju International Prayer Center in Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Daejeon, Gyeonggi, Gyeongbuk, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam, it is estimated that the total number of confirmed cases is much higher. Gyeongnam-do said, “There were 23 additional confirmed cases in Gyeongnam related to the Jinju International Prayer Center from 5 pm on the 11th to 5 pm on the 12th. As of 5 pm on the 12th, the cumulative number of confirmed patients related to the Jinju International Prayer Center in Gyeongnam was 57 visitors.” Gyeongnam Province added, “We know that there are successive cases of Jinju International Prayer Center in other regions, but it is difficult to determine the exact situation.” Jinju City secured a list of 128 visitors to the Jinju International Prayer Center on the 3rd to 8th, of which 56 residents from other regions notified the local government, and the remaining 72 Jinju citizens are being inspected. However, out of 72 Jinju citizens as of 1 p.m. on the 12th, only 43 were tested. Even if the visitor’s family and other contacts were included, only 111 people were tested. Gyeongnam Province has issued an executive order that requires people who visit Jinju International Prayer Center this year to be inspected by midnight on the 18th. If you violate the administrative order and get Corona 19 or infect other people, you will be accused and you will be charged for the right to remedy all expenses, including treatment and quarantine. Jinju City accused the representative of Jinju International Prayer Center for violating the Infectious Disease Control Act. Jinju Mayor Jo Gyu-il said, “The health and safety of citizens is greatly threatened by a group infection, but visitors to the Jinju International Prayer Center are not responding to the examination. For this reason, it is difficult to grasp the movement of visitors, and it is not easy to check their contacts and who exposed the movement. The upgrade of the social distancing step at 0 o’clock on the 12th to 2.5 steps is an inevitable measure to reduce the possibility of contact between these potential patients and citizens as much as possible.” By Choi Sang-won, staff reporter [email protected]
