This vaccination will be carried out in line with the COVID-19 vaccination plan for the second quarter of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The targets for vaccination are 15,595 people aged 75 or older born before December 31, 1946, who were registered as residents in Yangju City.

However, for safe vaccination, it is only applicable to the elderly who can move by foot or by vehicle, and is excluded in cases of discomfort or serious underlying disease.

Citizens over the age of 75 can visit the Eup, Myeon-dong Administrative Welfare Center at their address by April 6 and fill out and submit a vaccination agreement.

The vaccination vaccine is a Pfizer vaccine, and the second vaccination is performed after the first vaccination, and after vaccination, the presence or absence of a reaction for more than 3 days is intensively checked, centering on the elderly living alone.

This vaccination is carried out at the vaccination center installed in the exhibition hall of the Flower Fair in Goyang City until the Yangju Vaccination Center is officially opened.

The city is planning to open the Yangju Vaccination Center in the Gyeonggi Fiber Comprehensive Support Center in May for smooth vaccination.

In addition, prior to full-fledged vaccination, a response team for each eup-myeon-dong was formed under the general responsibility of the eup-myeon-dong to provide collective support for all steps such as vaccination reservation, transfer, vaccination, and management of the subject.

When the final vaccination target is confirmed, a text message containing the date and location of vaccination will be delivered to the subject before vaccination, and two public buses will be introduced and operated on the day of vaccination to safely transport the elderly who are difficult to travel long distances.

In order to immediately respond to the occurrence of adverse reactions such as allergies after vaccination, an adverse reaction team consisting of 1 doctor, 1 nurse, and 1 emergency medical technician will be placed in the vaccination center for quick and safe monitoring.

Seong-ho Lee, Mayor of Yangju City, said, “This second quarter vaccination targets the elderly over 75 years of age, so we will gather all administrative capabilities to ensure a quick and safe vaccination.” We will do our best to ensure that the elderly can receive vaccinations safely by establishing a process.”
