Free agent left-handed pitcher Yang Hyeon-jong (33) received a request for identification in the major leagues. However, there are no specific movements yet.

The Korea Baseball Commission (KBO) announced on the 8th that “On the 5th, we received a request for identification of Hyunjong Yang from the MLB (Major League) Secretariat and informed him of his FA status.”

Status check is a process by which big league teams check the current status of the player. Check whether there are any obstacles to recruitment. It does not necessarily lead to a contract, but it is an element that there is a club that is willing to recruit.

Until now, Yang Hyeon-jong has not even received a request for an MLB status check. As a result, the prospect for advancement seemed dark. However, as Yang Hyeon-jong tried to advance with the attitude of putting down all the conditions, it seems that a club to review recruitment appeared.

Still need to see more. On the 8th, CEO Choi In-guk, Spstarz’s agent, told News 1 on the 8th, “There is no specific progress yet. We will have to wait more”.

He added that “the US local agent is also in full-scale consultations.”
