Chinese President Xi Jinping declared on the 25th that the poverty population has disappeared in China. It is argued that a stepping stone has been laid for the achievement of the Chinese Communist Party’s goal of a full-scale Xiaokang society and the construction of a modernized socialist state.
According to the state-run Xinhua News Agency, in his speech at the’National Poverty Consolidation Contest’ held at the Beijing People’s Congress this morning, President Xi officially declared that “the Communist Party, nations, and people worked together to achieve a sweeping victory in the post-poverty project.”
He stressed, “Since 2012 (beginning of the first phase of Xi Jinping), a rural population of 98.99 million people, 128,000 poor villages, and 832 poor prefectures have finally emerged from poverty.” “This will be a brilliant achievement for librarians,” he added. “It is also a great honor for the Chinese people, the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese people.”
He emphasized that “we have created a miracle not only for the Chinese people, but also for the post-poverty history of mankind.”
The event took the form of a reporting contest in which the goal of the first 100 years of’two 100 years’ was achieved ahead of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party on July 1st. In the event that day, 1,981 individuals and 1,501 organizations who contributed to the post-poverty business received commendations.
