“China and France are permanent members of the UN Security Council and are responsible powers,” Xi said. “On the basis of multilateralism, the international community should strive to maintain fairness and justice, openness and inclusion.”
“At the end of last year, China and the EU agreed to sign an investment agreement,” Xi said. “At the end of last year,” he proposed to cooperate so that the agreement can be put into effect early. “I am willing to actively discuss with France about the development of trilateral cooperation between China and Eastern Europe,” he said.
President Xi said, “China is providing vaccines to more than 50 developing countries to resolve the COVID-19 outbreak.”

In addition, he also mentioned strengthening cooperation to implement debt deferment initiatives in major 20 countries (G20), increase investment in Africa, and implement the Paris Climate Change Convention.
President Macron responded, saying, “I am willing to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between Europe and China,” and “I hope the EU-China investment agreement will take effect early,” Chinese media reported.
President Macron also expressed a meaning, “We will strengthen cooperation in quarantine with China, while appreciating China’s efforts to support the Corona 19 vaccine.” He added that he hopes to cooperate closely with China on global issues such as promoting African economic growth and climate change.
