[개근질닷컴] ‘The return of the tennis emperor’ is imminent.

Roger Federer (40. Switzerland), who has become a’broken’ this year, is about to return after a year.

Federer, who is currently ranked 5th in the world rankings, has recently expressed his willingness to return through interviews with a Swiss broadcast. US media CNN also reported that “Federer will participate in the Exxon Mobile Open in Doha, Qatar in March.”

Federer gave up his tour schedule after undergoing knee surgery after losing to Novak Djokovic (1st place) in the Australian Open quarterfinals last January.

Federer said, “It was unreasonable to compete in the Australian Open this month on my knees, but now I am ready to go on a rough road,” he said, showing confidence in his return.

Federer’s return to the March Exxon Mobile Open has a record of Federer winning three times in the past.

However, it is difficult to expect to win right away when the sense of the game has not improved. Instead, Federer chose to win this year’s Wimbledon Games, the Tokyo Olympics, and the US Open as his biggest goals this year.

With a gap of about one year, rival Rafael Nadal (2nd place, Spain) quickly tied with Federer in the men’s singles championship (20 times) in the major tournament.

Prior to injury, Federer was the sole leader in this category. Djokovic is also following Federer and Nadal in 17th.

Fans are drawing attention to see if the returning emperor will be able to write a new history of tennis again showing his majesty.
