Tiger Woods suffered an accident on the 23rd (local time) while riding Hyundai Motor’s Genesis GV80 SUV.
Woods from Jupiter, Florida, came to Los Angeles for the PGA Tour Genesis Invitational. Woods grew up in the Los Angeles area, and his charitable foundation runs the Genesis Invitational as a profitable business, where Woods serves as the host.
The Genesis Invitational is a competition in which Hyundai Motors of Korea is the title sponsor. Of course, the official car is Hyundai Genesis.
In PGA Tour competitions, athletes are allowed to use their cars free of charge during the competition. Woods got into an accident while riding a GV80 SUV that Hyundai Motors claims to be a luxury SUV. There is a logo of the competition on the side of the vehicle.
Woods’ car left the road and rolled over 6m on a gentle slope. Even in the overturned situation, the car was not completely broken. However, the Woods had to be taken out using special equipment. Woods suffered a compound fracture.
Los Angeles County police said the car had been severely damaged and that Woods was pulled out of the car through an ax and windshield. The police also confirmed that “Woods was the only occupant, not colliding with another vehicle.” He also explained that accidents often occur due to a large number of sharp curves in the accident area. There were no skid marks.
Fire authorities said, “At the time of discovery, Woods was very badly injured, so he was conscious.”

The cause of the accident is not yet known. In 2009 and 2017, Woods lost consciousness and suffered a traffic accident as a result of a complex reaction from taking various pain relievers and sleeping pills together. Woods recently had a fifth back surgery. You may have taken pain medications.
Woods is known to have been in an accident while traveling to film a celebrity lesson event on the day of the accident. The day before, Woods gave a lesson to NBA star Dwayne Wade.
