A women’s organization called for the dismissal of the vice-president Jin Hye-won (46, 34th Judicial Research and Training Institute), Seoul East District Prosecutor’s Office.

On the 21st, four women’s organizations, including the Korean Women’s Political Network, held a press conference in front of the Dongbu District Prosecutor’s Office on the 21st and said, “The Ministry of Justice asked prosecutor Jin Hye-won, who sang’female’ and’flower snake’ to a former secretary who accused former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon of sexual violence. Fire you.”

On the 14th, the Department of Criminal Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court (Judge Sung-pil Cho) ruled against a former Seoul city employee who was accused of sexually assaulting a fellow employee, saying, “Since a year and a half after working under Mayor Park, he has been texting erotic and wearing underwear. In light of the statement that the victim was sent, it is true that the victim suffered considerable mental suffering from the sexual harassment of Mayor Park.”

On this day, prosecutor Jin compared the judiciary to “the Nazi troops having fun with far-right terrorism” on his Facebook page. The next day, he posted an article about “Why does the flower snake occur, and why does it change when it is wrong?”

The women’s group said, “Prosecutor Jin used the expression’flower snake’ that leads women to vulgarity without criticism, but also disparaged the victims of power-type sexual violence as’pretending to be innocent and innocent of clever and lewd females’ to raise their social status. He criticized him, saying, “It represented a typical perpetrator’s logic.”

On July 15 of last year, prosecutor Jin posted a picture of Mayor Park and her arms crossed, saying, “I am a feminist, it is an offense because I told you that I was molested.” For this reason, the women’s lawyers’ association requested the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office to discipline Jin, and the results have not yet come out.

The women’s group demanded that “the public prosecutor who undermines public trust in the judiciary and violates the human rights of victims of sexual violence and women in the Republic of Korea is promptly referred to the disciplinary committee to stop the second abuse.”

According to the Prosecutor’s Discipline Act, any act that impairs the face or prestige of a prosecutor, regardless of whether it is related to a job, is recognized as a ground for disciplinary action.

In March 2017, Prosecutor Jin was reprimanded for damage to his dignity, recommending that the suspect’s birth date be replaced with a lawyer. After that, Prosecutor Jin opposed the disposition and filed an administrative lawsuit, but was defeated at the first trial.
