LG Electronics unveiled’LG Rollable’ in the press conference video of’CES 2021′ held online on the 11th (local time). Qualcomm’s new flagship AP, Snapdragon 888, is adopted as an application processor (AP). The Snapdragon 888 boasts a 25% increase in central processing unit (CPU) performance and 20% improvement in power consumption compared to the previous version by applying 5nm process technology. It is expected that 16 gigabytes (GB) of memory and a 4,200 milliampere hour (mAh) battery will be installed. The price of this product, which employs a triple camera, is expected to be in the mid-two million won.
In the release of LG Rollable, US information technology (IT) media, Phone Arena, said, “LG Rollable can avoid the awkward display wrinkles that can be seen on foldable mobile phones.” Although they have disclosed the concept of, LG Rollable may be the world’s first commercialized rollable because no company has announced plans to commercialize their device.”
