The epidemiological investigation confirmed that the pastor of Antioch Church, who held the Sunday service on the 24th, preached without wearing a mask. When the number of confirmed cases related to the Gwanghwamun assembly in Seoul increased sharply in August last year, the church was punished for conducting face-to-face worship when Gwangju City issued an administrative order prohibiting worship.

Currently, in-person worship is only allowed up to 20% of the total number of seats. Antioch Church informed the quarantine authorities that about 100 members each attended the Sunday service, which was held four times by time.

Each worship service was conducted with less than 400 people, 20% of the 2000 seats, so the quarantine guidelines were not violated. However, the quarantine authorities are also checking the status of the worship service on Wednesday the 20th and identifying the number of attendees.

An official from Gwangju City said, “The number of inspectors identified by the quarantine authorities is 240.” did.
