Gwangju and Jeonnam announced detailed plans, such as targets and vaccination timing, for the corona19 vaccination starting this month. High-risk facility medical staff will receive it first in the middle of this month.

● Medical staff top priority… Last rank upon rejection

The city of Gwangju conducts vaccination in accordance with the policy of the central government, taking into account the severe progression risk, medical and quarantine systems and social safety, and the characteristics of COVID-19 transmission. In mid-February, inoculation of 50,000 medical staff was planned as the top priority, and the targets were selected as infectious disease-dedicated hospitals, hospitals operating severe patient treatment beds, and medical staff and workers at the Life Treatment Center.

The Gwangju vaccination center is divided into one regional vaccination center from Chosun University Hospital, a regional vaccination center.

Regional vaccination centers are the Dong-gu Cultural Center, Seo-gu Yeomju General Gymnasium, Nam-gu Multipurpose Gymnasium, Buk-gu Chonnam National University Sports Center, and Gwangsan-gu Veterans Byeong-eon Rehabilitation Gymnasium.

Gwangju City has prepared a website (ncv.kdca.go.kr) to transparently disclose information. When the population and social characteristics are entered, △priority targets △approximate timing of vaccinations, △vaccination institutions, etc. were guided.

Questions such as cumulative/daily, national/regional number of vaccinations, and adverse reaction reports are disclosed in real time (after the initial vaccination starts). Policy information such as vaccination plan is provided in an easy-to-understand manner through card news and videos.

Inoculation institutions are also conveniently inquired and entered essential information such as reservation inquiry, vaccination fact registration, and adverse reaction monitoring through the system.

The movement of the autonomous district is also fast. On the 1st, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, established a vaccination headquarters in Gwangsan-gu and started to respond preemptively.

The Gwangsan-gu vaccination administration headquarters will conduct in-visit vaccinations for corona treatment workers, nursing hospital staff and patients during this month.

The Gwangsan-gu Office plans to achieve 280,000 vaccinations, 70% of the total residents (400,000), by November.

● Target 70% of Jeollanam-do residents by the second half

Jeollanam-do is also making all-out efforts to ensure a smooth vaccination.

According to the “Corona 19 Vaccination Monthly Plan” released by Jeonnam Province on the 3rd, the top priority targets for vaccination are △ Corona 19 dedicated hospital medical staff △ Nursing hospital related △ Severe patient medical institution health care workers and corona response personnel. The vaccination starts right after the Lunar New Year holidays. The first vaccine secured is for 2,400 people.

The next ranking is the residents and workers of welfare facilities for the elderly and facilities for the disabled. From April to June, 471,000 people will be right.

From July to September, more than 70% of all residents, including adults and chronically ill patients aged 19 to 64, will be vaccinated. In order to form collective immunity, the vaccine is divided into 10,33,000 people in the third quarter and 289,000 people in the fourth quarter.

From October to December, the second vaccination and non-vaccinated subjects are eligible. It is planned to be implemented according to the results of clinical trials for children and adolescents and pregnant women whose safety has not yet been verified.

Vaccination institutions are classified according to the subject. The medical staff at the hospital dedicated to Corona 19 can inoculate at Chosun University Hospital, a regional vaccination center, and those working in medical institutions such as nursing hospitals can inoculate at their own medical institutions.

Those who have disabilities, such as those in nursing homes for the elderly and facilities for the severely handicapped, will form a visiting vaccination team at the public health center to conduct vaccinations.

Residents of the province can use vaccination centers and consignment medical institutions that are scheduled to be installed at least one in 22 cities and counties in the province. For smooth vaccination, a dedicated COVID-19 vaccination system will be established, and advance reservations can be made through the Internet, phone, or visit.

Inadequate medical personnel are considering a plan to employ public affairs doctors and 3rd-4th grade nursing students. Public health doctors (283), public health centers and other nurses (1465), fire department nurses (239), and Jeonnam Nursing Association idle nurses (862) will be used.

In addition, 3153 students in the 3rd to 4th grades from 14 nursing colleges will be assigned to the health center visiting immunization team so that they can be recognized as training hours.
