The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that it plans to discard an interim report that was scheduled to be published by the World Health Organization (WHO) investigation team trying to uncover the origins of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

The decision came amid questioning the credibility of WHO’s fieldwork in Wuhan.

International scientists have opened up the possibility of a leak from the Wuhan Virus Research Institute and urged to re-investigate the origin of Corona 19 from the origin.

Dr. Peter Ben Embarek, who led the investigation team on the 4th (local time), told WSJ that “there is so much interest in the report that the summary will not satisfy readers’ curiosity.”

Earlier, WHO Secretary-General Thewardros Adhanom Governor Yeosus said at a press briefing on the 12th of last month that he would release an interim report summarizing the contents of the investigation team’s investigation into Wuhan, but no report was released.

A spokesman for the WHO said: “A final report will be released in the coming weeks, including key findings.”

WSJ reported that the delay in the release of the report on the Wuhan field investigation was not irrelevant to the continuing controversy surrounding the WHO investigation.

24 scientists from France, the United States, India and Australia, who majored in virology, zoology, microbiology, etc., released a letter requesting a new international investigation into the origin of Corona 19.

The WHO investigation team’s report points out that it is almost impossible to conduct a full investigation due to the high possibility of political compromise due to the approval of the Chinese side.

They argued that at the end of 2019, hospital records of corona19 confirmed cases in China, as well as records of all locations, samples, personnel, and animal breeding, should be accessible, and confidential interviews are also required.

Earlier, the United States questioned the transparency of the findings, claiming that China provided too little relevant information to the WHO.

In response, China has denied allegations that Corona 19 may have spread at the Wuhan Virus Research Institute, saying that it is fully cooperating with the WHO.

The WHO investigation team also said in a briefing shortly after the field investigation that it is very unlikely that it originated from the virus laboratory.
