The U.S. White House announced on the 9th (local time) that it will closely review the report of the World Health Organization (WHO) investigation team dispatched to Wuhan to investigate the origin of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

According to Reuters, White House spokesman Jen Saki said at a briefing that day, he received relevant questions and “I look forward to scrutinizing the data contained in the WHO report released today.”

Dr. Peter Ben Embarek, who leads the WHO investigation team, held a press conference in Wuhan on the same day and announced that he had not found any evidence that Corona 19 originated in Wuhan.

As for the time and location of the corona 19 outbreak, he denied the existing opinion that the Wuhan angry market was the first source, saying that he found evidence that the virus was already spreading outside the angry market in December 2019.

The WHO research team, consisting of 10 multinational researchers, arrived in Wuhan on the 14th of last month and self-isolation for two weeks, and then began a full-scale investigation on the 29th of the same month. They have visited Huanan Mayor, Wuhan Regional Hospital, and Virus Research Institute so far, and are scheduled to leave China on the 10th.
