Hyundai Motor Company’s new new car delivery center will be opened again in Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk. Hyundai Motor Company built and is operating the first delivery center in Samcheong-ri, Waegwan-eup, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do in 2010.
On the 21st, Chilgok-gun said, “We signed an investment agreement with Hyundai Motors on the 18th to build the second Chilgok factory.” The second delivery center will be built on a site of 80,000㎡ in Jicheon-myeon, Chilgok-gun. The project cost of 24 billion won will be invested with the goal of completion in March next year. About 80,000 vehicles are shipped annually.
The second Hyundai Motor Company’s delivery center is established in Chilgok-gun because it is equipped with a traffic network that is connected like a spider web to all parts of the country. Also, based on the geographical conditions adjacent to Daegu City, it is also a factor that has recently grown into a logistics center.
Chilgok-gun expected to increase annual tax revenue of 6 billion won and create more than 1,700 jobs by attracting the second shipping center.
An official from Chilgok-gun said, “Before the official registration process, Hyundai Motor Company, which has just been released, travels around the country with the’Temporary License Plate for Chilgok County,’ so it is expected that it will indirectly promote Chilgok-gun. There will also be side effects such as revitalization of the economy that occurs when buyers visit a region.”
Meanwhile, Hyundai Avante was selected as the car of the year at the ‘2021 JoongAng Ilbo Car of the Year’ (COTY), which marks its 12th anniversary this year. Porsche’s electric car Taycan 4S was selected as’Imported Car of the Year’. This is the result after three months of screening.
