Wheesung probation of execution of’propofol medication’… “Considering addiction due to stress”

Singer Whee-seong (39, real name Choi Hwi-seong), who was accused of routine medication of propofol, a sleep anesthetic, was sentenced to imprisonment at the first trial.

Judge Cho Soon-pyo, the second exclusive detective of Andong Ji-won of the Daegu District Court, sentenced Wheesung to one year in prison and two years of probation at the first trial sentence on the 9th. He also ordered 40 hours of community service and treatment. Earlier, the prosecution sentenced him to three years in prison at a decision trial held on January 19th.

Judge Cho said, “The defendant has been receiving public attention and love, and the resulting influence is so great that he has to set an example for others, but he did not do that.” However, he admitted the crime and took into account the fact that he was addicted to chronic fatigue and stress. “He explained the reason for the sentence.

Wheesung was prosecuted for violating the Narcotics Control Act in August of last year. It is suspected of taking Propofol several times in December 2019.

Wheesung admitted most of the prosecution during the trial. Two people accused of selling propofol to Wheesung were also sentenced to imprisonment.

Separately, Wheesung was accused of routinely taking Propofol from 2011 to early 2013 at various places, including dermatology clinics in Gangnam, Seoul, and was investigated for illegal administration of Propofol while serving in the military in 2013. At the time, Wheesung explained, “It was the purpose of treating herniated disc and alopecia areata,” and “there was a very small amount of treatment in the process of quick treatment, but there seems to be misunderstanding.”
