West Ham United aims to sign Hwang Hee-chan on loan by reinforcing striker

The UK sports media’Sky Sports’ said on the 28th (Korean time), “EPL West Ham is discussing to recruit Hwang Hee-chan. Coach David Moyes is set to decide sooner or later.
Last summer, Hwang Hee-chan moved from Red Bull Salzburg to Bundesliga Leipzig. Although the Bundesliga attracted a lot of attention, he only helped 1 goal in 9 games, including the confirmation of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
Local media are seeing the recruitment of Hwang Hee-chan, who was chosen as a substitute for Timo Werner (Chelsea), as a failure. It is difficult to secure Hwang Hee-chan’s position. Manager Julian Nagelsmann is competing for the championship this season with 10 wins, 5 draws, 3 losses, and 35 points, and it doesn’t give Hwang Hee-chan many opportunities, so leasing seems to be the best option.
Moyes is looking for a replacement for Sebastian Haller, who recently transferred to Ajax for £22 million (about 33.6 billion won). We need a player to work with Mikhail Antonio. Although Hwang Hee-chan did poorly in the Bundesliga, he played 16 goals-22 assists in Austria last season and deserves consideration as an offensive option.
Hwang Hee-chan’s physical strength and activity are the skills Moyes wants, but his lack of activity in the Bundesliga is an obstacle.
