‘Weekend effect’ again 300 people… “Some teachers get vaccinated too”

382 new confirmed cases… “Special schools, kindergartens, and elementary school teachers are also given vaccinations”

As of today (15th) 0 o’clock, there are 382 new cases of Corona 19 in Korea.

It went down to 300 again, but it is close to 400.

The weekend effect of reducing the number of tests seems to have had an impact.

Among the new confirmed cases, 370 people occurred in Korea and 12 people came from overseas.

By region, there were 112 in Seoul, 161 in Gyeonggi, and 18 in Incheon, with 291 in the metropolitan area.

In addition, 31 people from Gyeongnam, 10 people from Gangwon, 9 people from Chungbuk, 5 people from Chungnam, 4 people from Busan, Daegu, and Jeonbuk, 3 people from Gyeongbuk and Jeju, 2 people from Daejeon and Sejong, and 1 each from Gwangju and Ulsan.

There were 99 patients with severe gastric disorders, and the number of deaths increased by 6.

More than 70% of new confirmed cases occur in the metropolitan area.

The quarantine authorities feared that the situation was so dangerous that it would not be strange any time a large outbreak occurred.

Even non-metropolitan areas cannot be relieved.

In a bathhouse in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, 149 people were confirmed as a group infection until yesterday.

Jinju City banned public bathhouses and raised social distancing to two levels.

The government plans to complete the first vaccination of 12 million people in the first half of the year.

Kwon Deok-cheol, the 1st Vice-Director of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, has partially disclosed the plan for the second quarter of COVID-19 vaccination.

In addition to the workers and residents of nursing hospitals and facilities currently being vaccinated, vaccinations are also provided for residents and workers of the elderly and disabled facilities.

Deputy General Manager Kwon said, “In addition, we will start vaccination for the elderly over 65 years old, and for seniors over 75 years old, we will establish a safe and close support system before and after vaccination in connection with local governments.”

In addition, starting with special education and education for the disabled, vaccinations are initiated in stages to kindergartens, day care centers, and elementary school teachers.

Vaccination procedures have also been prepared for outbound travelers for essential activities such as overseas business trips and important economic activities by public officials.

Detailed plans will be announced through an afternoon briefing.
