Volatilization price rises in the 9th week…1447.2 won per liter in the 3rd week of January

Gasoline prices at gas stations nationwide have risen for 9 consecutive weeks.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation on the 23rd, the average price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the third week of January was 1447.2 won per liter (L), up 7.9 won from last week.

The price of gasoline in Seoul, the nation’s highest priced area, rose 10.4 won to 1525.4 won per liter, 78.2 won higher than the national average. Seoul is the only region in the country that exceeds 1,500 won.

The price of gasoline in Daegu, the lowest priced area, rose 11.6 won from last week to 1430.3 won per liter, which is 16.9 won lower than the national average.

By brand, gasoline at GS Caltex’s gas station was the most expensive at 1456.8 won per liter. Gasoline at a thrift gas station was the cheapest at 1408.2 won per liter.

The price of diesel at gas stations nationwide also recorded 1247.6 won per liter, up 7.8 won from last week.

As of this day, the national average gasoline price is 1449.64 won per liter and 1528.6 won in Seoul.

On the other hand, international oil prices are on a slight decline due to the downward revision of the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) outlook for oil demand this year, a temporary decline in supply of the Corona 19 vaccine (Pfizer) in Europe, and Qatar’s call for dialogue with Arabs and Iran.

The price of Dubai oil, which is the standard of crude oil imported into Korea, fell by 0.4 dollars from the previous week to 55.3 dollars per barrel.

International gasoline prices fell by 0.6 dollars from the previous week to 59.2 dollars per barrel, and international automobile diesel prices fell by 0.2 dollars to 60.8 dollars per barrel.
