Deleted advertisement contents appearing in Stray Kids and (Female) Idle Sujin
(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Hyo-jeong and Han Ji-eun = Ads in which idol singers were appearing in controversy over bullying or school violence between members stopped line by line.
According to the industry on the 3rd, advertisements such as Dongseo Food Post and Muhak Soju, which featured girl group April’s Lee Na-eun, arising out of suspicion that she had taken away former member Lee Hyun-ju, were stopped.
An official from Dongseo Food said, “I stopped the post advertisement in which Lee Na-eun appeared,” and said, “We are checking the facts through the affiliated company and will take action according to the facts.”
Muhak’s side also unloaded all advertising content featuring Lee Na-eun on social media channels such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
An official from Muhak said, “As unconfirmed information is spreading, we decided that it would be better to give it down to prevent conflict.”
Clio, a cosmetic brand that used boy group Stray Kids as a model, also deleted the content that featured Stray Kids as a result of suspicion of school violence by Hyun-jin, a member of this group.
Clio recently announced on the official SNS, “All contents related to the Stray Kids model that were uploaded before the issue occurred have been deleted except for some overseas distributors.”
Clio said, “We are still discussing the future model operation plan,” and said, “We are in close discussion with all officials so that we can cope with the current situation wisely, and we plan to carry out promotional activities in the future according to the final consultation.”
Peripera, a cosmetic brand, was recently alleged to abuse school violence by (girl) Idle Soo-jin, who was recently selected as a model, and April Na-eun, the previous model, was also controversial.
Peripera’s side is known to have deleted the photos of Sujin and Naeun Lee on social media.
