Amid the spread of the Corona 19 mutant virus from the UK, the first cases of infection have also been confirmed in Vietnam, which is considered a’best country for quarantine’.

According to Reuters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam announced on the 2nd that “a 44-year-old woman who entered the country from the UK was confirmed to be infected with a mutant virus from the UK (VOC 202012/01).”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The infected person was tested positive on the 24th of last month and was quarantined immediately after entering the country.”

The mutant virus, which first appeared in the UK in September, is known to be 40-70% more contagious than the existing virus.

As the virus spread from the UK, Vietnam has banned entry from the UK and operates only flights for repatriation.

To date, the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and South America, as well as the United States, have been officially confirmed in 30 countries around the world.

Meanwhile, the cumulative number of corona 19 confirmed cases in Vietnam until this day was 1,474, and the cumulative number of deaths was 35.

As the incidence rate is the lowest in Asia compared to the total population (97.34 million), it has been evaluated that it quickly suppressed the outbreak of Corona 19 through strict quarantine and tracking measures.
