Five people in their twenties who approached a minor, produced and distributed a sexual exploitation video, were sentenced to imprisonment.
On the 17th, the 11th Criminal Division of the Gwangju District Court (Judge Ji-seon Ji) imprisoned Mr. A (21) who was charged with violating the Act on the Protection of Sexuality of Children and Juveniles and Violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (special level rape). He said he was sentenced to six years.
In addition, Mr. B (21), who participated in the crime, was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months, Mr. C (20) and Mr. D (21) were sentenced to 4 years, respectively, and Mr. E (21) was sentenced to 5 years.
The court also ordered them to complete a 40-80 hour prostitution prevention program.
These five neighbors were charged with sexual assault on Miss F, a teenager, at a motel in Buk-gu, Gwangju on the morning of February 17, 2018, and producing, possessing, or distributing a sexual exploitation video.
At that time, Mrs. A and D raped Ms. F, who was unable to resist, such as falling asleep while drunk while playing a drinking game, and filmed the process.
In June of the same year, Mrs. A and B sexually assaulted another teenage female Ms. G, and Mrs. C and D are also accused of assisting.
C and E sexually harassed a drunk woman while playing a drinking game with another teenage woman in the same month, and filmed the process with a smartphone.
They were found to have produced sexual exploits against a number of teenagers during 2018 and shared them through Facebook.
In particular, it turned out that one of them had a history of committing similar crimes in the past and being sentenced to three years in prison and five years probation.
The judge said, “The crime is quite heavy in light of the method, frequency, and age, such as repeatedly committing adultery and filming a child or adolescent victim.” said.
He explained the reason for the sentence, saying, “Some of these people were contemplating and reflecting on the facts of the crime and agreed with the victims in this way.”
