Kim Yong-geun, full-time vice-chairman of the Korea Federation of Business Owners, expressed his gratitude after leaving his term of office for one year. It is interpreted that despite the opposition from the business world, the government and the ruling party will take responsibility for it and withdraw from their position when they pass the 3 Fair Economy Act.

According to the business world on the 14th, Vice Chairman Kim expressed his gratitude to the insiders, including Gyeonggi General President Son Kyung-sik, before the Lunar New Year holiday. Vice-Chairman Kim was a former official of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. He was reappointed in February of last year and was serving a two-year term.

Vice-Chairman Kim is known to have expressed his intention to take responsibility when the government and the ruling party successively passed the Three Fair Economy Act, the Trade Union Act, and the Severe Accident Business Penalty Act, despite opposition from the business community. In fact, he has been working against the legislation of the corporate burden bill with vice presidents of major economic organizations such as the Small and Medium Business Administration.

An official from the KCTU said, “I know that Vice Chairman Kim felt a lot of helplessness as the government and the National Assembly did not listen at all, although the Gyeonggi-gun took the lead in opposing the legislation of the anti-business law.” I continued,” he said.

On the 17th, the Kyungpook General will hold a meeting of the presidency to discuss the issue of succession of Vice Chairman Kim. As early as the 24th, a successor will be appointed at the general meeting, and Lee Dong-geun, president of the Hyundai Economic Research Institute, and Ryu Ki-jeong, executive director of the Gyeonggi-do, are discussed.
