The National Tax Service is going to’verify an awl’ for tax evasion over real estate donation. When the side effect of multi-homeowners choosing to donate instead of selling their homes occurs, detailed verification is undertaken in all stages from past acquisition to post-donation.

On the 28th, the National Tax Service held a meeting of the heads of national tax offices and confirmed and announced the’National Tax Administration Operation Plan’ this year. The key to this year’s operation plan is to strengthen the verification of donations that exploded last year ahead of strengthening real estate taxation. Specifically ▶For the donated house, when the donor first acquires the house, is the source of the funds clear?▶Is the summation omitted during the re-donation process?▶Does it with a rental deposit and repay the rental deposit by proxy I decided to check if I did it. In particular, he announced that he would always verify the source of funds for minors who are suspicious of tax evasion, such as acquiring expensive real estate even though they do not have any other sources of income.

An official from the National Tax Service said, “As the number of home donations increased last year, the need for detailed verification increased,” and “We will announce in detail measures to verify donated homes soon.” According to the Korea Real Estate Agency, last year, the number of apartment donations nationwide recorded 91,866. It increased by 43% compared to the previous year (64,390 cases). It is the largest after collecting related statistics since 2006. When the government raised the holding tax to induce multi-homed people to sell their homes, it is analyzed that the homeowners chose to donate instead of selling.

The National Tax Service has been supporting the government’s policies indirectly by launching a tax investigation related to real estate evasion whenever the government has announced real estate measures. Last year, 1543 real estate tax evasion suspects were investigated and an additional KRW 1203 billion was collected. National Tax Service Commissioner Kim Dae-ji emphasized at the meeting on the day that “If you commit tax evasion or avoid legitimate tax obligations while gaining unfair profits through anti-rules and privileges, you must respond more strictly from a fairness perspective.”

The National Tax Service is also strengthening tax verification for media content creators such as YouTube and new and booming industries that have emerged due to the influence of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). The food materials, kitchenware, and exercise goods industries that enjoyed a boom due to the’zipcock’ life and the increase in domestic leisure activities, and YouTubers who caused controversy over the import of’back advertisements’ are the targets. An official from the National Tax Service said, “Since the incentives for underreporting such as overcompensating expenses are large for businesses with sudden increases in sales, we will strengthen monitoring and on-site information collection.”

In addition, since the end of last year, vending machines for alcoholic beverages can be installed in general restaurants, and this year, the permitted range will be expanded to convenience stores and unmanned convenience stores. There must be a device that can recognize a resident registration card or driver’s license or perform adult authentication by linking with a mobile application.
