It was found that more than 40% of the people who were first vaccinated against the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine in Korea completed the first vaccination.
The Corona 19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Corona 19) announced that 2,047 additional vaccinations as of 0 o’clock on the 8th. Accordingly, the total number of domestically vaccinated inoculations for 10 days from the 26th of last month was 316,865. It means that about 41.5% of the 760,891 people who were given priority vaccinations in February and March completed the first vaccination.
Compared to the domestic population (52 million), the inoculation rate is 0.61%. Of the total vaccinations, 31,583 people received the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine, and 5,282 people received the Pfizer vaccine. Currently, Pfizer’s vaccine is being vaccinated against the medical staff of Corona 19 treatment hospitals.
If 2,047 people were vaccinated the day before, divided by province, Jeonbuk was 456, with the highest number of vaccinating people a day. This was followed by 424 in Seoul, 316 in Gyeonggi, 291 in Gyeongnam, 162 in Jeju, 91 in Gangwon, 86 in Daegu, 85 in Gwangju, 77 in Daejeon, 25 in Jeonnam, 23 in Chungbuk, and 11 in Busan. In Incheon, Ulsan, Sejong, Chungnam, and Gyeongbuk, there were no new vaccinations a day yesterday.
The government is currently vaccinating AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines at the initial volume. Both vaccines require two doses, and the first dose is currently being administered. AstraZeneca vaccine will be given at 8 weeks and Pfizer vaccine at 3 weeks.
The promotion team aggregates and announces the status of vaccinations and adverse reactions as of 0 o’clock every day. However, if the vaccination agency is late to register the vaccination information or vaccination history on the computer, the number of vaccinations per day and the vaccination rate may differ slightly. The promotion team explained that 162 people who completed the first vaccination from the 2nd to the 6th of this month were additionally registered the day before.
