With the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine expected to land in Korea in February, Incheon City has started responding to vaccinations without disruption.

According to the city on the 26th, sooner or later, a vaccination enforcement and support group will be established, headed by the vice mayor.

The promotion team operates three teams (14 people): a vaccination management team in charge of vaccination administration, a vaccine supply and demand operation team that manages vaccines and vaccination institutions, and an adverse reaction response team in charge of adverse reactions, centered on the Department of Health and Sports, which is the Corona 19 response department. .

The support team has two teams (8 people): a situation management team that manages the vaccination situation and a situation support team that supports it.

Vaccination is administered by each county/gu health center. Accordingly, it is planned to establish support teams in counties and districts so that each health center can focus on vaccination tasks.

The city also plans to form a local council in which various organizations such as the police, fire fighting, education offices, private associations and organizations participate, and entrust vaccination advice and on-site support.

Mayor Park Nam-chun said, “Now we are starting another challenge of vaccination,” he stressed that “the central and local governments should prepare organically as one body.

On the other hand, vaccination is expected to be possible within February after the approval of the vaccine entering Korea has been completed, and after a 20-day national shipment approval test.

The quarantine authorities assigned the vaccine priority candidates quarterly in order of the highest risk of infection.

In the first quarter, residents and workers of nursing hospitals and elderly medical welfare facilities, and workers of medical institutions who are at the forefront of treating COVID-19 patients. In the case of nursing care hospitals and medical welfare facilities for the elderly, there are many high-risk people with underlying diseases.
