The US police secured the GV80 black box he drove to investigate the cause of the Tiger Woods car rollover accident of the’Golf Emperor’.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in the United States announced on the 3rd (local time) that it was looking at the data on the black box installed on the GV80, which had a rollover accident.

Deputy Sheriff John Slogle explained, “When a car accident occurs, we automatically receive a black box search warrant and download the data.”

Woods was in a car rollover accident on the downhill curve of Los Angeles County at 7:15 am on the 23rd of last month.

The accident caused Woods to seriously injure his leg and undergo emergency surgery.

Just before the accident, Woods visited Los Angeles as the organizer of the Genesis Invitational Tournament of the American Professional Golf (PGA) sponsored by Hyundai Motor Company and used the GV80 that Hyundai Motor Company had lent during his stay.

The Los Angeles County police said the car was severely damaged at the time and used cutting equipment to take Woods out of the car.

According to a video filmed by the American broadcaster Helecopter, Woods’ car rolled about 10m and was so damaged that Woods was pulled out using a special cutter.

Woods said he would exclude the criminal prosecution policy because there was no evidence of drinking alcohol or taking drugs at the time of the accident, but it seems that speeding was one of the causes of the accident, and it seems to have set out to secure black box data.

Sheriff Slogle said, “If it was inexperienced driving or reckless driving due to the use of a mobile phone, we need to reconstruct the situation at the time of the accident.”

Some media reported that Woods could have been drowsy driving.
