In connection with the recent World Health Organization (WHO) investigation into the origin of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), Joe Biden’s US administration said, “We are deeply concerned about how the initial results of the Corona 19 investigation were communicated.” He urged to provide more related materials to
According to AFP and Reuters, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement on the 13th (local time) that “we are having doubts about the process by which the results of the investigation are delivered to the WHO expert team.”
He then emphasized that the Chinese government should not intervene in or attempt to change the results of the investigation. “The report must be independent.”
“In order to better understand Corona 19 and prepare for the next outbreak, China needs to make data available from the outset,” he said. “All countries, including China, have transparent and robust procedures to prevent and respond to health emergencies.” You have to participate in it.”
China immediately refuted the White House statement, pointing out that former President Donald Trump had left the WHO.
A spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in the United States pointed out that “the United States has seriously damaged multilateral cooperation organizations including the WHO in recent years, but is accusing other countries that have supported the WHO as if this has not happened.”
Earlier, the WHO investigation team visited Wuhan, China from the 29th of last month to the 4th of this month and conducted a field investigation, but could not reveal the place where Corona 19 originated.
They requested 174 cases of confirmed data from the Chinese government in December 2019, at the beginning of the outbreak, but they were rejected and told multiple foreign media that they were only provided with summarized data.
AFP news agency reported that Chinese scientists had 72,000 raw data related to early cases of pneumonia, flu, fever, etc., which could be corona 19, but reduced to 92 cases to the WHO investigation team.
