As it is predicted that 1 to 5 cm of snow will fall in the Seoul area on the 28th, the city of Seoul announced on the 27th that it will issue the first stage of snow removal from 0 o’clock on the 28th and operate the emergency working system. According to the Meteorological Administration, a heavy snow preliminary warning has been issued in the northern part of Gyeonggi Province adjacent to Seoul.

The city plans to first spray snow removal agent on vulnerable roads such as alleyways and steep slopes, and consider upgrading steps in areas where a lot of snowfall is expected. On the morning of the 28th, it was decided to extend the public transportation intensive dispatch time during rush hours by 30 minutes from the existing 7-9 a.m. until 9:30.

The subway runs 36 times more than usual. The city bus also decided to extend the operation of the minimum dispatch interval for each route by 30 minutes during the rush hour for all routes. In order to prevent accidents such as breakdown of outdoor exposed facilities such as electric vehicles due to freezing overnight, the city reported that facilities are thoroughly inspected, such as train inspection before leaving the factory.
