As the’third pandemic’ of a new coronavirus infection in Korea (Corona 19) continued, confirmed cases were followed in various places on the 13th.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 344 new confirmed cases nationwide tested positive for Corona 19 from 0 a.m. to 6 p.m. on that day.
It is 58 fewer than the 402 total at the same time the day before.
In the area where confirmed cases were found, 242 (70.3%) in the metropolitan area and 102 (29.7%) in the non-metropolitan area.
By city and province, Gyeonggi 145, Seoul 82, Gyeongnam 51, Incheon 15, Busan 12, Gangwon 10, Gyeongbuk 9, Daegu/Chungbuk each 6, Jeonbuk 3, Jeonnam 2, Gwangju, Ulsan, Chungnam Each is 1 person.
There have been no confirmed cases in Daejeon, Sejong and Jeju.
As time remains until midnight when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0:00 on the 14th is expected to increase more than this, reaching around 400, or in the early to mid-400 range.
On the previous day, after 6 pm, 88 people increased to 490.
Immediately after the Lunar New Year holiday (2.11-14), the number of new confirmed cases increased rapidly to 600 and then decreased to 300-400, but recently increased again and is approaching 500.
During the last week (3.7~13), the number of new confirmed cases per day recorded 416 → 346 → 446 → 470 → 465 → 488 → 490, showing an average of 446 per day.
Of these, the number of confirmed cases of regional daily average, which is a key indicator of the adjustment of the’social distance’ stage, is 428, and has re-entered the range of 2.5 stages (400 to 500 or more nationwide).
Looking at the recent trend, large and small group infections are continuing through daily living spaces such as saunas and workplaces.
The cumulative number of confirmed patients increased to 132 related to a sauna located in Jinju City, Gyeongsangnam-do.
