This feature is available by selecting “Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch” in iPhone settings. The certified Apple Watch must be worn on the wrist, and the distance between devices must be close.
In the meantime, users of the latest releases of iPhone X and above have suffered inconveniences in using Face ID as wearing masks has become common since Corona 19.
