[지앤이타임즈] In Ulsan, where the manufacturing industry is concentrated, a corporate council was formed to create a sustainable, carbon-neutral ecosystem through the establishment of corporate-centered energy governance.

The Korea Energy Agency (CEO Kim Chang-seop) held the ‘1st Ulsan Area Carbon Neutral Business Council’ at Ulsan Lotte Hotel on the 6th to promote carbon neutrality and support energy companies in Ulsan.

Representatives from small and medium-sized energy companies in the Ulsan region participated in this meeting, including public sectors such as the Korea Energy Corporation and Ulsan Techno Park, and various sectors such as hydrogen, new and renewable energy, and energy conservation company (ESCO).

At the first meeting, the Korea Energy Agency’s carbon-neutral policy and related projects were introduced, as well as cooperative plans and policy recommendations among participating organizations.

The Corporation will continue to hold regular meetings to promote carbon neutrality in Ulsan, as well as to play a role as a driving force for fostering and supporting local energy companies.
