The city of Ulsan announced on the 17th that in accordance with the government’s announcement of the extension of social distancing, the current distancing step will be extended for two weeks from 0 o’clock on the 18th to 24 o’clock on the 31st.
First of all, the city decided to minimize meetings and contacts that are the main cause of the spread of the current epidemic. As it has decided to continue banning private gatherings from 5 people, only 4 people can make reservations and enter the restaurant. Only packaging and delivery are allowed after 9 PM.
In the case of meetings and events, the ban on meetings and events with more than 100 people is maintained. However, 5 types of gatherings and events, such as assemblies and demonstrations, large-scale concerts, academic events, festivals, and national group events, which are highly concentrated and at high risk of infection due to meetings in other regions, are kept banned from gathering more than 50 people at the level of 2.5. .
Regular religious activities such as regular worship, Mass, court, and rituals are allowed to participate within 20% of the number of seats under the condition that quarantine rules are strictly observed. Meetings and meals organized by religious facilities are still prohibited. In particular, all meetings and events other than regular religious activities are prohibited in prayer centers, training centers, and mission facilities.
In consideration of the fairness with the restaurant, only packaging and delivery were allowed, but on the premise of strict quarantine regulations, eating and drinking in the store is allowed until 9 p.m. as in the restaurant. For restaurants and cafes with a facility permit/report area of 50m2 or more, one table or seat should be left to minimize the density, and if it is difficult to observe this, a 1m distance between the tables or partitions should be installed.
Meeting facilities such as restaurants and cafes located in outdoor winter sports facilities including snow sledding are prohibited, but can be operated under quarantine regulations. Existing priority/general management facilities are maintained as they are today, such as prohibition of gatherings, restrictions on the number of users, and high-risk activities such as food consumption, depending on the characteristics of each facility.
An official from Ulsan City said, “The corona spread peaked at the end of last month and is currently on a decline, but in winter, the spread of infection is high and socio-economic damage due to the re-spread of the epidemic is expected when the quarantine is mitigated. “In consideration of the emotional fatigue and equity of citizens, some bans on gathering have been eased,” he said.
