Vaccination for a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) is in full swing in the UK and around the world, but it is still unknown whether overseas vacations will be possible this summer, said the Chief Medical Officer of England’s Department of Health on the 1st (local time).
According to Reuters, Prof. Jonathan Van Tam said at a press briefing held that day when asked if an overseas summer vacation would be possible, “the virus is still in a very uncertain section about what to do next.”
“In addition to this, European vaccination programs are also lagging behind,” said Professor Van Tam. “Whether you can go on vacation abroad to places like Europe depends on what other countries say about foreign travelers.”
He added, “I can’t give you a definite answer because there is no answer right now.”
In the UK, the number of people who completed the first dose of the Corona 19 vaccine exceeded 20 million as of the 28th of last month. In the UK, as the rate of vaccination increases, there is a growing expectation that the blockade will be lifted gradually in June.
