The city of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province (mayor Byeong-yong Ahn), started the first vaccination on February 26th, and is currently conducting the first vaccination for 3,510 workers in nursing hospitals and nursing facilities, and 3,510 residents.

The currently supplied vaccine is AstraZeneca, and on March 2, commissioned vaccination and vaccination at public health centers started, and 1,343 cumulative vaccinations of residents and workers under the age of 65 in nursing hospitals and nursing facilities as of 17 o’clock on March 2 (38.3%) completed.
In addition, on March 2, 16 high-risk medical institutions (medical institutions with a hospital level or higher) were subject to on-site inspections on vaccine storage and management and adverse reactions. On the 3rd, 3,640 doses of AstraZeneca will be delivered and vaccination will begin for workers in high-risk medical institutions.

By the end of March, the targets for vaccination are nursing hospitals and nursing facilities, workers at high-risk medical institutions, first responders for COVID-19, and workers in hospitals for treating COVID-19 patients.

Depending on the situation of each institution, it is carried out by means of in-house vaccination, commission vaccination, visit vaccination, and in-hospital vaccination. Vaccination targets are informed by text such as advance reservation, reservation confirmation, vaccination date/time and location and precautions, and reservation for the second vaccination, and adverse reactions are monitored for 7 days after vaccination.
In preparation for the situation of the occurrence of residual amount of vaccine during visit to nursing facility and inoculation, we plan to make every effort to minimize the discard of the Corona 19 vaccine by prioritizing the Corona 19 first responder.

Deputy Mayor Hwang Beom-soon of Uijeongbu City (Corona 19 Vaccination Promotion Manager of Uijeongbu City) said, “I would like to thank all citizens for cooperating with personal hygiene and social distancing in the Corona 19 situation last year. He asked you to follow the rules thoroughly.”
