In KBS 2’TV Carrying Love’, broadcast on the 13th, the behind-the-scenes story with former vocalists revealed by leader Kim Tae-won of’Resurrection’ is revealed.
The group’Resurrection’, which has reached its 35th year, is the longest-running band in Korea, from singers such as Ki Ra-seong, including the 1st Kim Jong-seo to the 2nd Seung-cheol Lee, the 3rd and 4th generation Kim Jae-ki and Kim Jae-hee, and the 5th generation Park Wan-gyu.
Among them, Tae-won Kim selected the late Kim Jae-ki as the most memorable vocalist. Kim Jae-ki is a singer who sang’The More I Love’, an immortal song that is still loved today. However, during the recording of the 3rd album, he died of an accidental traffic accident and made many fans unfortunate.
Kim Tae-won received a phone call from Kim Jae-gi saying that he needed money at 1 am at the time, but he said, “If there was money, his destiny could have changed,” he said.
In particular, after Kim Jae-gi’s death, Kim Tae-won selected his younger brother Kim Jae-hee as the 4th vocal of’Resurrection’, while his younger brother achieved a dream that his older brother could not achieve in his lifetime, and Kim Tae-won was able to keep his promise with Kim Jae-ki. On the other hand, Kim Tae-won is said to have found Kim Ki-yeon, who has a voice that looks like a mixture of Kim Jae-gi and Park Wan-gyu while searching for a person whose tone is similar to that of Kim Jae-gi’s death.
However, Kim Tae-won said that he had to leave Kim Ki-yeon, the ideal vocalist best suited to the sensibility of’resurrection’, and is adding to the curiosity about what kind of heartbreaking story there is.
