The New York Post reported on the 8th (local time) that supporters of President Donald Trump, who invaded the US Capitol in Washington and engaged in violence, were also in a riot inside an in-flight aircraft.

Reportedly, after protesting and raiding the Capitol, Trump supporters as a group headed for American Airlines flight 12542 from Reagan National Airport in Washington DC to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Arizona.

One passenger on board at the time said “USA, USA” repeatedly on social media by supporters wearing hats with the words’MAGA (Make America Great Again)’, a slogan for President Trump’s speech. He said he shouted out “Fight for Trump” over and over again.

Crew members were sent to restrain the turmoil, but they did not follow instructions. Accordingly, the captain was reported to have warned on an in-flight broadcast, “If you continue to violate the rules, I will abandon you in the middle of Kansas” and “Please be polite”.

In this regard, American Airlines told the New York Post that “the captain’s remarks emphasized the importance of crew instructions and compliance with cabin rules.” However, it was revealed that there was no further commotion in the airliner after takeoff.

Meanwhile, thousands of supporters of President Trump, who argued against the presidential election on the 6th, flocked to the Capitol to prevent the holding of a joint Senate-House Assembly meeting to confirm the victory of President-elect Joe Biden around 1 p.m. and broke the police line. Some entered the interior of the capitol, while others occupied the stairs outside the capitol to confront the police for four hours. CNN reported that it was the first time that the Capitol, a symbol of American democracy, was occupied by its own protesters.
