Tottenham Real L Vasquez recruitment war veteran’s level is Son Heung-min’s level

Tottenham joins the war for'Real' L. Vasquez...The weekly wage is Son Heung-min?

[엑스포츠뉴스 김정현 인턴기자] Tottenham once again began to show interest in signing the Real Madrid player he trusts.

Spanish press Mundo Deportivo said on the 27th (Korean time) that Tottenham Hotspur participated in the fight to sign Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez.

Vasquez is a Real Youth player who has been a professional player all the time, except in Espanyol.

Vasquez is currently attracting attention from many European big clubs as negotiations for renewal with Real Madrid broke down.

Real’s financial situation is in a bad situation, and it is struggling to renew contracts with several key resources, such as Sergio Ramos and Rafael Baran.

In 2016, Vasquez renewed his contract with Real for five years, and his contract with Real Madrid will expire this summer. Therefore, Vasquez is currently able to transfer without a transfer fee through a free contract.

Originally, Vasquez’s position is a right winger, but he is a multi-source that has been playing a full-back role with stars lined up under Zinedine Zidane.

As Vasquez is highly utilized, Bayern Munich, a big club in the Bundesliga, is seeking to sign Vasques, while Tottenham also jumped into the signing game.

For Tottenham, Gareth Bale and Eric Lamela can play on the right flank. However, Bale’s loan ends at the end of this season, and Lamela’s transfer to Bologna began.

In Bologna, the summer transfer market is drawing attention, especially as the sports director gives an interview that shows interest in Lamela.

In addition, right-hand full-backs currently have Sergio Orier and Matt Doherty, but Ori has a tough relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, and his poor performance, and Doherty is still unable to adapt to the full-back role.

From Tottenham’s position, it is possible to put weight on the signing of Vasquez. The key is Vazquez’s weekly wage. Currently, Vasquez’s weekly wage is 160,000 pounds (about 250 million won).

Given that Son Heung-min’s weekly wage is £150,000 (about 234 million won), it is unclear whether Tottenham will be able to offer Vasquez an increased weekly wage.

In addition, Tottenham is in negotiations with Son Heung-min and Harry Kane for renewal of the contract, which could lead to higher weekly wages.

Vasquez, 29, is likely to demand a higher weekly wage, and Son Heung-min is likely to receive an offer of £200,000 (approximately 300 million won), which he expects to receive upon renewing the contract.

Currently, Tottenham’s largest weekly payment is £325,000 (about 500 million won) paid to Gareth Bale.
