(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Do-yong Kim = Seong-jae Lim (23?CJ Logistics) took a tie for 20th place by reducing three strokes in the third round of the World Golf Championship (WGC) Workday Championship ($10.5 million in total prize money).

On the third day of the tournament held at the Concession Golf Club (par 72/7474 yards) in Bradenton, Florida on the 28th (Korean time), Lim Sung-jae tied 6 birdies and 3 bogies to record 3 under par 69 strokes. As a result, Lim Sung-jae was tied for 20th place with Kevin Na, a Korean-American with 211 strokes in the median total of 5 under par.

Lim Seong-jae, the only Korean player to compete in the tournament, raised expectations by tied for seventh on the first day. However, in the second round, it was sluggish with a second over-par and fell to a tie for 26th.

Lim Seong-jae showed a different look in the third round. Im Seong-jae, who started the game comfortably by recording a birdie in the first hole (par 4), violated the look at the second hole (par 4). However, he caught a birdie on the 3rd hole (par 5) and made up for it right away.

Im Seong-jae, who reduced one stroke in the 7th hole (par 5), continued the upward trend by catching a birdie in the 10th hole (par 4), the 12th hole (par 4), and the 13th hole (par 5).

However, the finish was disappointing. Im Seong-jae failed to reduce the number of strokes because he ended up looking at the 15th hole (par 4), and then stopped looking at the 18th hole (par 4), the last hole.

The lead was Colin Collin Morikawa (USA). Morikawa tied up 8 birdies and 3 bogies to write 5 under par 67 strokes.

As a result, Morikawa took the lead with 15-under-par 201, overtaking Brooks Kepka (USA), who lost to a 2-under par on the day. With a 13-under par and 203 strokes, Kepka tied for second place with Billy Hossell (USA).
