Top 10 hedge fund managers in the world earned 22 trillion won last year

The world’s top 10 hedge fund managers earned 201 billion dollars (about 22.31 trillion won) in the volatility market last year due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), Reuters reported on the 22nd (local time) asset management company Institution Reported by citing Investor data.

According to Investor, the top 10 hedge funds last year averaged 43%. Corechu Management recorded 65%, and Renaissance Technologies and Tiger Management recorded 76% and 48% returns, respectively.

According to the relevant data, the top 10 hedge fund managers around the world generated $20.1 billion in revenue last year. This is an increase of 50.2% from $13.4 billion in 2019.

In addition, each of these 10 hedge fund managers earned more than $1 billion last year. In the previous year, eight hedge fund managers generated more than $1 billion in revenue.

Israel Englander, who leads Millennium Management, made the most profit last year, earning 3.8 billion dollars (about 4.224 trillion won). Renaissance Technologies’ James Simon ($2.6 billion), Tiger Global Management’s Chase Coleman ($2.5 billion), and Citadel’s Ken Griffin ($1.8 billion) at the center of the GameStop controversy were followed.

Bill Ackman of Pershing Square, dubbed “Little Warren Buffett,” was out of the list in 2019, but ranked 10th with $1.4 billion last year.
